<\/a>How\u00a0to\u00a0tell it’s springtime in Wisconsin?<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 It’s 45 degrees out and all the houses along my street have their windows open.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 The minute the last fistful of snow melts, my neighbor\u00a0Mr. R\u00a0revs up his lawn mower and works on his yard.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 There is an aroma of\u00a0HAPPY\u00a0COWS in the air.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 When\u00a0Keith is chasing, throwing sticks, and yelling\u00a0at Ollie dog in the yard because\u00a0he\u00a0is trying to swallow\u00a0a prized delicacy (something furry, bloated, and stinky).<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 Something nicer, finding a cluster of lily of the valley on the side yard.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0 Lastly, when I can barely get any syrup to\u00a0drip\u00a0out of my last pint of Cooks’ Woods <\/a>maple syrup!<\/p>\n

Keith and I met with Dave Cook (owner\/syrup master) on his farm last Saturday.\u00a0 I found out some really interesting facts.\u00a0 Did you know it takes 40 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of maple syrup?\u00a0 The smell was just amazing that I ended up ordering a dozen pints.\u00a0 It’s also the best maple syrup I’ve ever tasted.\u00a0 We will be doing a follow up post with pictures of the process this time because Keith will not forget the camera\u00a0next Saturday for the open house\u00a0\ud83d\ude42\u00a0 Also I might be a little less greedy by next week and will part with a pint for a giveaway.\u00a0 Come visit again to have a chance at winning or you can just call Dave and place an order.<\/p>\n
