Hi there, how was your Thanksgiving?\u00a0 I hope you finally feel better after the weekend of\u00a0gluttony.\u00a0 Keith’s family drove all the way to our house from upstate NY.\u00a0 It was wonderful to get to spend some time with them since we don’t get to\u00a0see them\u00a0very often.\u00a0 Our party included five adults and two grand dogs, Ollie & Nikita.\u00a0 I’ll let you guess which dog matches\u00a0what name below.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Keith and I\u00a0pardoned a turkey\u00a0this year\u00a0and opted to\u00a0roast a chicken.\u00a0 The chicken was raised lovingly by our friend Christy at Windy Ridge<\/a>.\u00a0 We roasted it Thomas Keller style\u00a0<\/a>in a\u00a0450 degrees F oven\u00a0with a sprinkling of salt, pepper, and thyme.\u00a0 The skin was thin and crisp, the meat slightly sweet, succulent, and just absolutely delicious.\u00a0\u00a0We also\u00a0enjoyed a variety of cheeses including the much regarded 15 year cheddar from Hook’s<\/a>.\u00a0 Most of what we ate were locally or regionally sourced except for the Stove Top stuffing and wine.\u00a0 I know\u00a0the stuffing mix is\u00a0not that good but my first Thanksgiving in America included that.\u00a0 It’s traditional!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sweet Potatoes (made with a lot of LW Dairy <\/a>\u00a0hand rolled butter, Cook’s Woods<\/a> maple syrup, and marshmallows)<\/em><\/p>\n
