friends\u00a0out of state\u00a0I like to shop for gifts from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wisconsinmade.com\/\">Wisconsin Made<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/bavariasausage.com\/\">Bavaria<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/fromagination.com\/\">Fromagination<\/a>.\u00a0 Shopping online is very convenient especially when you&#8217;ve got some cookies baking in the oven.\u00a0 I know what you&#8217;re thinking.\u00a0 I promise, this is anything but another boring cookie recipe.\u00a0 Just look how\u00a0sinful and delicious they look.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Grown-up Cookies<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/driftlessappetite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/12\/applebrandymolassescookies2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><!--more--><\/strong>They are scented with vanilla, fresh ginger, mace, nutmeg, and cinnamon.\u00a0 To make it even better, I&#8217;ve added\u00a0a\u00a0few splashes of\u00a0honeycrisp apple brandy from <a href=\"http:\/\/yaharabay.com\/\">Yahara Bay<\/a>.\u00a0 The texture is soft, crunchy, and chewy all at once.\u00a0 The mildly bitter blackstrap molasses is lightened by the scent of honeycrisp apples, and warmed by the mingling of the spices.\u00a0 Invite a few of your friends and serve these babies up\u00a0with generous mugs of latte spiked with some of the apple brandy.\u00a0 Happy Holidays \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><strong>RECIPE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Ingredients<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>10 T. butter (one stick and a quarter) room temperature<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1\/2 c. brown sugar<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 egg<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 t. vanilla extract<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1\/4 t. baking soda<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1\/2 t. salt<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1 t. grated ginger<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1\u00a0t. mace<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1\/2 t. nutmeg<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>1\/2 t. cinnamon<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>2\/3 c. blackstrap molasses<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>3 T. apple brandy<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>2 c. flour<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar.\u00a0 Add the rest of the ingredients then slowly\u00a0the flour.\u00a0 The dough will be very sticky.\u00a0 Place the bowl\u00a0in the refrigerator for about half an hour.\u00a0 Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.\u00a0 Drop 1 inch scoops onto a baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes.\u00a0 Place the bowl back in the refrigerator until you make the next batch.\u00a0 The cookies should be shiny and smooth when it&#8217;s done.\u00a0 Let it sit for a couple of minutes in the pan after taking it out of the oven.\u00a0 It should be easy to lift after that.\u00a0 Transfer to a cooling rack.\u00a0 Your house will smell
