I bet you have been missing our posts about\u00a0the beautiful Driftless Region.\u00a0 I love this time of the year.\u00a0 Yesterday after a\u00a0roaring spring storm, I discovered that my patch of daffodils on the east side of the house have started to bloom.\u00a0\u00a0Behind the house, the apple tree is pale green from thousands of new buds.\u00a0 It got pretty muddy so I waited patiently until this morning to visit my little garden.\u00a0 I was excited to see the fuschia and bright green heads of rhubard coming up, the dozen garlic cloves I planted last fall have sprouted six-inch leaves, and two of my herb boxes survived the winter.\u00a0 The oregano and thyme are growing vigorously as well as two thick patches of chives.\u00a0 Also\u00a0delightful were a couple little earthworms and a particularly fast moving chubby\u00a0slug.\u00a0 All these, accompanied by a sweet\u00a0cacophony of bird songs.<\/p>\n

\nBut trifles look so trivial
\nAs soon as you have come<\/p>\n

That blame is just as dear as Praise
\nAnd Praise as mere as Blame –<\/p>\n
