width:48px;height:48px; margin: 0; padding: 0; border: none; box-shadow: none;\" src=\"https:\/\/driftlessappetite.com\/wp-content\/plugins\/social-media-feather\/synved-social\/image\/social\/regular\/96x96\/rss.png\" \/><\/a><p>Good morning sunshine!\u00a0 So my friend B decided to give me some fresh sourdough starter a couple of days ago when he dropped off his kids for music lessons.\u00a0 What was he thinking?\u00a0 I need some time (at\u00a0least a month)\u00a0before I commit to taking care of millions of hungry microorganisms.\u00a0 I read that one is supposed to feed it.\u00a0 &#8220;Feed it with what?&#8221;\u00a0 asked my friend D (who I talk to whenever I panic about trivial things).\u00a0 &#8220;Steak!&#8221;\u00a0 I joked.\u00a0 After four years, my dog Oliver still has to remind me at times to feed him.\u00a0 What about when I go on vacation?\u00a0 Is there a special starter &#8220;kennel&#8221;?\u00a0 Or when I&#8217;m out with friends?\u00a0 Hey guys, sorry\u00a0I have to go home to feed the dough!\u00a0 My anxieties eventually subsided and I decided to start off easy made some pancakes.\u00a0 Oh, it only took a day but it was well worth it.\u00a0 I served it for dinner last night with grilled Georgia peaches and Michigan blueberries that I purchased from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/#!\/treeripe\">Tree Ripe<\/a>, and drizzled with our favorite maple syrup from <a href=\"http:\/\/driftlessappetite.com\/?p=2830\">Cooks&#8217;
