Dodge State Park<\/a>.\u00a0 That was just perfect because for me, there are only\u00a0three good things about camping: the fire,\u00a0some good company, and the s&#8217;mores!\u00a0 Nichole suggested that we start off dinner with some s&#8217;mores, my kinda girl.\u00a0 Why wait until the end of dinner for dessert anyway?\u00a0\u00a0The meal included chicken breast with blueberry sauce cooked on a wood plank, buttery roasted fingerling potatoes, <a href=\"http:\/\/driftlessappetite.com\/?p=4153\">tomato tarts with mustard<\/a>, buttered\u00a0sweet corn with grains of paradise and parmigiano.\u00a0 To drink we had\u00a0orange soda, Capri Sun, and rootbeer.\u00a0 JM and Nichole brought 4 top mustards they loved from judging at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madisonatoz.com\/2012\/07\/2012-world-wide-mustard-competition.html\">World-Wide Mustard Competition<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0I couldn&#8217;t get enough of\u00a0the <a href=\"http:\/\/store.mustardmuseum.com\/product\/2440\/buy-mustards\"> Earth &amp; Vine Chipotle Honey Lime Mustard<\/a>\u00a0(pictured at the bottom of the collage).\u00a0 It\u00a0was just\u00a0perfect mixed with the sweet corn.<\/p>\n<p>There was rain and thunderstorm a couple of hours before our dinner but thankfully it stopped.\u00a0 The sun came\u00a0out\u00a0just in time for sunset, the\u00a0trees were dewy and you\u00a0could smell the wet earth, we laughed a lot,\u00a0my pants were sticky with marshmallow,\u00a0and Kiko the dog &#8220;sang her fine soprano&#8221;.\u00a0 We drove home, happy to spend a sweet summer\u00a0evening with friends.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/driftlessappetite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/campfiredinner.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4177\" title=\"campfiredinner\" src=\"http:\/\/driftlessappetite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/campfiredinner.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"1175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/driftlessappetite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/campfiredinner.jpeg 1000w, https:\/\/driftlessappetite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/campfiredinner-255x300.jpg 255w, https:\/\/driftlessappetite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/campfiredinner-871x1024.jpg 871w, https:\/\/driftlessappetite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/campfiredinner-127x150.jpg 127w, https:\/\/driftlessappetite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/campfiredinner-400x470.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The other night, we were invited to a campfire dinner by our friends JM &amp; Nichole\u00a0at Gov.
