Happy Friday everyone!\u00a0 The tomatoes are loving this hot and wet weather.\u00a0\u00a0My garden is bursting with Brandywine,\u00a0Roma, and Yellow\u00a0Bells.\u00a0 The Caprese salad is one of my favorite ways to enjoy this seasonal favorite.\u00a0\u00a0This salad comes from the Campania region of Italy, the southern part, where the beloved Neapolitan pizza<\/a> originates as well as the best buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes.\u00a0 It’s so simple.\u00a0 You must\u00a0start with\u00a0the freshesh tomatoes from your garden (perfectly ripe and warm from the sun)\u00a0or from your local market.\u00a0 After that, you need some fresh mozzarella.\u00a0 We\u00a0bought some Belgioioso<\/a> from the local Piggly Wiggly<\/a>\u00a0(America’s first true self-service grocery store).\u00a0 Slice the tomatoes and cheese, layer on a plate, and scatter some basil leaves on top.\u00a0 Lastly, sprinkle with some sea salt and drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.\u00a0 Eat. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
