the potatoes added a really nice crunch\u00a0but I&#8217;ll say the sour cream and kielbasa were probably unnecessary. \u00a0The vinegar helps to cut the earthiness of the beets, if that&#8217;s a flavor you have trouble with. \u00a0Oddly, I struggle with beets myself, even though my favorite smell in the world is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qxR808buN0U\" target=\"_blank\">petrichor<\/a>\u00a0(the smell of rain on dry soil), and the main chemical in petrichor is the same compound that gives beets their earthiness: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rsc.org\/chemistryworld\/podcast\/CIIEcompounds\/transcripts\/geosmin.asp\" target=\"_blank\">geosmin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to sign up to receive the weekly menu (there&#8217;s no commitment to buy), go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.enosfarms.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">enosfarms.com<\/a>\u00a0and fill out the contact form (or contact us and we&#8217;ll get you in touch with them). \u00a0You can pick up you order from them in Spring Green, or depending on where you live, there might be other delivery options.<\/p>\n<p>If you don&#8217;t know Jeremy and Erin of Enos Farms, but you recognize their names, that might be because Enos Farms is also the official Driftless Appetite <a href=\"http:\/\/driftlessappetite.com\/?p=5383\">cake supplier<\/a>. \u00a0Starting November 1st, they are also going to be serving <a href=\"http:\/\/www.enosfarms.com\/events\/2015\/11\/1\/sunday-brunch-at-enos-kitchen\" target=\"_blank\">Sunday brunch<\/a> from 8-12 at their kitchen in Spring Green.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Right now there are fourteen items available, and the list continues to grow as they add options.
